NUBRA VALLEY IS A TRI-ARMED VALLEY LOCATED TO THE NORTH EAST OF LADAKH VALLEY DISKIT THE CAPITAL OF NUBRA IS ABOUT 150 KM NORTH FROM LEH TOWN. THE SHYOK RIVER MEETS THE NUBRA OR SIACHAN RIVER TO FORM A LARGE VALLEY THAT SEPARATES THE LADAKH AND KARAKORAM RANGES. THE AVERAGE ALTITUDE OF THE VALLEY IS ABOUT 10,000 FT. I.E. 3048 METRES ABOVE THE SEA LEVEL. THE ULTRA WIDE LANDSCAPES, HUMONGOUS MOUNTAIN FACES, LOVELY TRAILS, WIDE VARIETY OF COLORS AND MUSICAL SHYOK RIVER FLOWING MIDST THE VALLEY WILL TAKE YOUR BREATH AWAY AT FIRST SIGHT. DAY FOUR :         NUBRA - PANGONG LAKE.

LEAVE NUBRA EARLY MORNING FOR PANGONG LAKE  WHICH IS SITUATED AT A HEIGHT OF ABOUT 4,350M ( 14,270 FT ). THE LAKE IS 134 KM LONG & 5 KMS WIDE AT IT BROADEST POINT. THE LAKE  STRECHES BETWEEN INDIAN & CHINESE BORDERS. APPROXIMATELY 60% OF THE LENGTH OF THE LAKE LIES IN CHINA. DURING WINTER THE LAKE FREEZES COMPLETELY. THE LAKE IS IN THE PROCESS OF BEING IDENTIFIED UNDER THE RAMSAR CONVENTION AS A WETLAND OF INTERNATIONAL IMPORTANCE. GUIDES REPORT THAT THERE ARE NO FISH OR OTHER AQUATIC LIFE IN THE LAKE, EXCEPT FOR SOME SMALL CRUSTACEANS. ON THE OTHER HAND, VISITORS SEE NUMEROUS DUCKS AND GULLS OVER AND ON THE LAKE SURFACE. DAY FIVE :         PANGONG - LEH.

AFTER STAYING NIGHT AT PANGONG DRIVE TO LEH TOWN. ON REACHING LEH CHECK IN HOTEL. OVERNIGHT AT HOTEL  IN LEH.

DAY SIX :        LEH AIRPORT DROP.

AFTER B/FAST TRANSFER TO LEH AIRPORT FOR ONWARD DESTINATION.

Tour Overview

Day One : Arrival to Leh – Ladakh.

Arrive in Leh , Bakula Airport, which is at an altitude of 11,700 ft. Upon arrival, our tour representative will welcome you and take you to the hotel. After completing the check-in, take rest for the remainder of the day to acclimatize to the high altitudes of Ladakh, a necessary thing to do. In the evening, at around 04:30 PM, leave your hotel rooms for visiting the very popular Shanti Stupa - erected on a hilltop in Chanspa in 1991. It is a white dome-shaped Buddhist stupa. Next, you visit the Chowkhang monastery - this serene monastery is marked by fluttering prayer flags. Later on, indulge yourselves in at the local market of Leh. Some of the best buys include Buddhist masks, prayer wheels, thangka paintings and woolen items like Pashmina shawls, gloves, sweaters and more. Stay overnight in leh.

Day Two : Leh local sightseeing.

After breakfast leave for Leh Sightseeing, First Visit to Hall of Fame, Gurudwara Pathar Shahib, Magnetic Hill, after drive to Sangam Area (Confluence of the Indus River and Zanskar River), After Sightseeing Back to Leh Market, and visit to Shanti Stupa & Leh Market, after sightseeing drop to the Hotel.. Day Three : Khardungla Pass.

Morning of the fourth day begins with a visit to the Khardung La Pass at 18,360 ft which, not surprisingly, is the world's highest motorable pass. Overnight stay at the hotel in Leh.

Day Four : Pangong Lake.

A full day excursion to Pangong Tso Lake, which is a 135 km drive from Leh. The Pangong Tso Lake is nearly 140 km long and 3-5 km wide. More than half of the lake lies in the Tibetan territory. Since you?ll return to Leh by the evening, you can roam about Leh's local markets looking for a deal or two. Overnight stay is at a hotel in Leh.

Day Five : Departure Leh Airport.

In the morning, get an assisted transfer to the Leh airport to board your flight .

Day Three : Leh – Nubra Valley ( 125 Kms / 4 - 5 hrs ).

Early breakfast at around 08:00 AM, begin your road journey to the Nubra Valley via the world-popular Khardung La Pass. At an altitude of 18,360 ft, it is one of the highest motorable passes. As you reach the valley, Check in your camps at the assigned location. Later on, you visit the silver sand dunes near the Hundar village. Hop onto a double humped camel for a memorable camel safari around the place. The next visit is to the villages of Diskit and Hundar (80 km round trip/6-7 hours). The road trip in this region is a beautiful one. These places have monasteries and hot springs. Get a sneak-peak into the lifestyle of the locals. Stay overnight at the camp.

Day Four : Nubra - Leh.

Today, leave the valley early in the morning after relishing a sumptuous breakfast. The mornings here are extremely mesmerizing. After sightseeing, begin your drive back to Leh via the Khardung La pass. After arrival, check-in at the hotel. Spend the evening enjoying leisure walks at the Leh market. Stay overnight in Leh.

Day Five : Leh – Pangong Lake (135 Kms / approx 5 hrs).

leave early morning to go to the Pangong Tso Lake, placed at an altitude of 4400 m. Start driving to the east of Leh, crossing the Chang La Pass, 17500 ft. Take a route via the and Tangtse villages in the Changthang region of Ladakh. Treat your eyes to the scenic beauty all around you. As you reach, set up your camps near the lake site. Finding its place in both India and China, this lake is blessed with enchanting surroundings. The lake was even featured in the Bollywood blockbuster, 3 Idiots. The brackish water changes color with the sunlight. Enjoy your day here. Overnight stay at the camp.

Day Six : Pangon – Tso Moriri Lake ( 270 Kms / 9 - 10 hrs ).

Start your day early when the surroundings of the lake look even more beautiful. If you want, you can click some photographs here. Later on, start driving towards Tso Moriri Lake, the largest lake in Ladakh. It lies at an altitude of 15,075 ft. You drive up to Tsaga La, Chusul Drive past Mahe Bridge and then drive towards the beautiful Tso Moriri Lake. Spot Himalayan marmots. In the evening, you will arrive at the lake. Check-in at the camp near the lake. Near the lake, you can spot as many as 34 avifauna species. The lake has been declared a wetland of international significance under the Ramsar Convention in 2003. Stay overnight at the camp.

Day Seven : Tso Moriri Lake – Leh ( 235 Kms / 8 – 9 hrs ).

After an early breakfast, start driving to Leh via Tsokar Lake. On the way, visit the Puga Geo-Thermal Gas springs, the Nomadic Rebo tents at Polo-Kongka pass, and beyond the pass, stop by Tsokar Lake - a wetland area. Stop here for photographs. If you are interested, you can also visit the monastery in the tiny village of Thukje. Overnight stay at a hotel in Leh.

Day Eight : Alchi /Uley ( 82 Kms / 2-3 hrs ) /Alchi.

After breakfast, today you start driving to Sham valley. On the way, visit the great statue of Maitreya Buddha in the Likir monastery and the 1000-year old murals of Alchi monastery, listed among the best Buddhist miniature paintings. Continue your road journey. Finally, you arrive at Uley/Alchi . Check-in at the resort/hotel. After completing the formalities, you can simply relax. Stay overnight.

Day Nine : Alchi - Leh.

After leaving Alchi Your first visit is to the region with Lunar landscapes - an area that is similar to the land condition of the moon. After this, you will visit the Lamayuru monastery - one of the largest and oldest monasteries in Ladakh. It houses wall paintings, thangkas, murals, old scriptures and various statues of different forms of Buddha as well as other deities. Enroute you will be sightseeing at the Magnetic Hill or the gravity hill - a natural wonder of the region, and the Military Hall of Fame - a museum and memorial of the war heroes that is established and managed by the Indian Army. As the rest of the day is free, you can indulge yourself in some last minute shopping at the popular markets of Leh such as Moti market, Balkhang chowk (for apricots) and supermarket. Overnight stay at a hotel.

Day Ten : Departure Leh Airport.

In the morning, get an assisted transfer to the Leh airport to board your flight .

After Breakfast visit to Himis Monastrey, Hemis Monastrey which is one of the oldest and biggest monasteries in Leh. Existing before the 11th century, after drive to Thiksey Monastery. Located 19 km from Leh, the monastery resembles the Potala Palace in Lhasa, Tibet.

After drive to Shey Palace. Shey was the ancient summer capital of Ladakh and the palace served as a retreat for the king of Ladakh.

Day One : Arrival to Leh – Ladakh.

Arrival at Leh in the morning and then transfer to the hotel. Take complete rest for the day for acclimatization to the high altitude of Leh (11,500 ft./3500 m). Overnight stay at a hotel.

Day Two : Leh local sightseeing.

After breakfast leave for Leh Sightseeing, First Visit to Hall of Fame, Gurudwara Pathar Shahib, Magnetic Hill, after drive to Sangam Area (Confluence of the Indus River and Zanskar River), After Sightseeing Back to Leh Market, and visit to Shanti Stupa & Leh Market, after sightseeing drop to the Hotel.. Day Three : Leh  - Nubra.

After breakfast leave for the Nubra Valley, driving across the Khardung La pass (altitude: 18,380 ft.). After descending from the pass, drive on for sightseeing at Sumoor. Visit/explore Diskit, Hundar and the sand dunes where you can enjoy a short camel safari on the double-humped Bactrian camel found here (optional activity on direct payment). Later check into a fixed camp in the same area or drive across to Diskit for an overnight stay at a camp.

Day Four : Nubra – Turtuk Valley.

After breakfast, drive to the Turtuk valley - a beautiful village situated in the border area. Enjoy the beautiful scenery and rich culture of the Turtuk valley. Overnight stay at a hotel.

Day Five : Nubra - Leh.

After breakfast, you can visit the Diskit monastery and then drive back to Leh via the same route. In the evening, reach Leh. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day Six : Leh - Pangong.

Early departure for Pangong Tso Lake (approximately 145 km, located on the Indo-China border), via the Chang La pass (altitude: 17370 ft). After an entire day of sightseeing around the lake, check-in at fixed tent camp near the lake at Spangmik or drive back for 30 km to Tangtse and check into a hotel/guest house for overnight stay.

Day Seven : Pangong to Leh.

After breakfast, leave Pangong/Tangtse and get back on the Leh route across Chang La. Upon reaching Karu, drive across the Indus and visit the famous Hemis Monastery, the biggest monastery in Ladakh. Later, drive on to Leh, enroute visiting the picturesque Hemis and Thiksey monasteries. Overnight stay at a hotel.

Day Eight : Departure Leh Airport.

In the morning, get an assisted transfer to the Leh airport to board your flight .

Day 03 : Leh To Dha Hanu (Arryan valley)

Morning after breakfast drive towards the western part of Ladakh called sham valley, drive to the Bheema, where the Drokpas or Aryan people live. They are Buddhist in name, but are culturally and racially different from the rest of the inhabitants of Ladakh. Overnight stay at deluxe camp in Beema.

Day 04 : Aryan valley sightseeing (visit Dha, Hanu and Beema Villages and Drokpa people)

Morning after breakfast we will visit Dha, Hanu and Beema, three of the five villages inhabited by the Drokpa people. They are a small community of about 2,000 people whose features are pure Indo-Aryan, and they have preserved their racial purity down the centuries. Overnight stay at deluxe camp in Beema.

Day 05 : Beema - Achinathang - Lamayuru - Alchi - Sangam - Magnetic Hill - Gurudwara Pathar Shahib - Leh

Morning after breakfast we drive to Lamayuru the 11th century monastery build on a interesting landscapes aftr drive to Alchi Choskor build by great scholar Lotsawa Rinchen Zangpo in 11th century, the monastery is rich with interesting fresco paintings, further drive back to Leh On route visit Sanagm (confluence of Indus & Zanskar Rivers), (River RAFTING POINT - you can rafting here 2 or 3 hrs) after drive to Magnetic Point, Pathar Sahib Gurudwara & Hall of Fame (museum of military heritage).

Day 10 : Tsomoriri Lake - Tsokar - Jispa VIA Baralacha-la Lachlung -La (16,616 feet), (Approx 9 -10 hrs)

After breakfast check out Camp / Guest House and drive to Jispa on the way passing Puga Valley (Sulphur Mine), Tsokar Lake, Skyang chu Thang Skyangchu Thang (Biggest and Highest Plateau on Stretch of 42 Kms, Enjoy your pack lunch at Pang, post lunch leave for Jispa by crossing Nakeela and Lchung La. On the way high altitude passes, Baralacha-la Lachlung -La (16,616 feet), Nakee-La (15,547 feet)

Day 11 : Jispa - to Manali Drop ( Approx 3 - 4 hrs)
